Elizabeth Frazier

Violin, Violin Instruction

 

Elizabeth Frazier began her violin studies at the age of 7 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance under the tutelage of Professor Hal Grossman at the University of Oklahoma. Elizabeth has performed in many venues, concerts and recitals including performances on stage with the Lowe Family at the Welk Resort and MGH Performing Arts Center in Branson, MO, with singer/songwriter David Archuleta in Kansas City, MO, and the violin troupe “Barrage” in Nashville, TN. In the summer of 2012, Elizabeth was accepted as one of thirty-eight qualifying violin students nationwide into the Advanced Repertoire Program in Ithaca, NY. In the Spring of the same year, she was featured as a soloist with the Springfield Youth Symphony, and soloed again the following year with the Springfield Drury-Civic Orchestra as the winner of the first annual Charles R. Hall Young Artist Competition. Elizabeth received Suzuki violin training at the University of Memphis, TN, and has taught private lessons for four years. She was recently awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate Violin Student Award presented by the University of Oklahoma School of Music, and simultaneously chosen to perform as a member of the Claeys Quartet for the upcoming school year (2016-2017.) This summer Elizabeth will be traveling with the Oklahoma Youth Orchestra on their European tour.
